Description
Vehicle tracks through shallow water on the surface of the Salar de Uyuni in south west Bolivia at sunset. The Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat, covering 10,582 square km / 4,086 square miles. It sometimes floods (to a depth of only a few cm, the region is generally very arid) during the rainy season, turning it into a huge mirror reflecting the skies, often with stunning results. Small lumps of salt on the surface can be seen lit up in the foreground.
