Description
These wonderful orange trunks and roots belong to the Arrayan or Chilean myrtle tree (Luma apiculata) which is a native to the Lake District regions of Chile and Argentina. It is usually found in wetter regions close to water in the Valdivian temperate forests typical of this part of South America and is used by the Mapuche people for medicinal purposes.
