Description
The 88m (289ft) high Emerson Bromo-Seltzer clock tower in Baltimore was built in 1911 as part of the Bromo-Seltzer factory, the design was based on the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. It was the tallest building in Baltimore from 1911 until 1923. Originally it had a 16m (51ft) rotating, glowing, blue Bromo-Seltzer bottle that weighed 20 tons on the top! The summer clouds scudding by in a strong wind on this visit made for some lovely skies and an ever changing backdrop.
