Description
A black and white shot of Caminha's Igreja Matriz / parish church in the far north of Portugal. Caminha has a long history; the Romans had a military settlement here and in the 13th century King Afonso III built a new castle and fortifications around what at the time was a fishing village. This church dates from the 15th century, part of the old town's defensive walls can be seen in the foreground.
