Description
A local fisherman silhouetted against the water casts his net into Lake Titicaca under a beautiful sunset with golden clouds. Lake Titicaca is shared by Peru and Bolivia and is said to be the world's highest navigable lake; it is also the 14th largest by volume. It covers an area of 8,372 sq km / 3,232 sq miles, measures approx 190 x 80km / 118 x 50 miles and lies at an altitude of 3810m / 12,500ft above sea level. The thin, clear air at high altitude can make for wonderful clouds and beautiful sunsets.
