Description
The granite towers of Patagonia can be awe inspiring! The rapidly changing conditions as fierce storms give way to sunshine can make for some surreal and moody lighting effects. Cerro Torre (3102m / 10,175ft) is one of the region's most famous peaks and a serious challenge for extreme climbers. Here it is reflected in the surface of Laguna Torre, which often has small icebergs and floes from the nearby glacier. The peak is one of the highlights of the Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
