Description
An old fashioned milk churn or milk can outside an old cottage in Fowey, Cornwall, southwest England. These churns were commonly used across Britain for transporting milk from farms to the dairies, until specialised tankers were used for the job. Many have survived and are often used for decoration and ornaments. Cornwall (along with neighbouring Devon) is famous for its cream teas, which consist of scones, clotted cream and jam served with afternoon tea. There are several variations and much debate over the best way to serve them and make the scones.....! Rodda's is a well known Cornish family company who have been producing clotted creams since 1890 along with other dairy products.
