Description
A view across the Salar de Uyuni in south west Bolivia from Incahuasi Island in its centre just after sunrise. The Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat, covering 10,582 square km / 4,086 square miles. The peak on the horizon is the Tunupa volcano (5320m / 17,460ft). The cacti found on islands in the middle of the Salar and around are Echinopsis atacamensis (pasacana subspecies), which grow in Bolivia and northern Argentina.
