Description
Nucchu flowers for sale in a market in Cusco during Easter week. They flower in hills and valleys in the Cusco region around this time and are believed to represent the blood of Christ. They are thrown by devotees over a glass coffin containing Christ's body as it is carried through the city during the Good Friday parades, and used as decoration in many other Easter events.
