Description
El Vergel is a series of freshwater springs deep in one of the limestone canyons in Torotoro National Park, one of Bolivia's lesser known natural wonders. Trekking down to them takes a few hours on a rough path and they make for a very refreshing shower on arrival!! The Park is located in the far north of Potosi Department though it is most easily accessed from Cochabamba. It's main attractions are the high concentration of paleontological remains (including dinosaur footprints), Bolivia's largest cave system and spectacular limestone canyons.
