Description
Three Andean flamingos (Phoenicopterus andinus) line up nicely as they feed in a lake in the altiplano of western Bolivia. They are the rarest of the three flamingo species found in the high Andes and a listed endangered species. They are found on high altitude saline lakes in Bolivia, northern Chile and northern Argentina, and also in southern Peru outside the breeding season. It is the only flamingo that has yellow legs and three toed feet. This shot was taken on a stormy afternoon in the rainy season; the dark grey skies reflected in the water really make the pink colours of the flamingos stand out!

Nice one James! Wonderful, I looks as if you have choreographed this one perfectly!
James Brunker replied:
Thank you Alex, flamingos can be great models and often line themselves up nicely! There has been some wonderful footage on TV shows and online of them dancing en masse in a coordinated fashion during mating season. I'm sure a quick google will find something on YouTube or similar if you were interested.
