Description
A black and white image looking up at the statue of Brigadier General Gouverneur Kemble Warren on Little Round Top Hill on the Gettysburg Battlefield site. Warren was a Brigadier General at the time of the battle and the man who spotted the Confederate Army beginning an assault on the Union Army's left flank on the 2nd day of the battle. As a result he advised his commanders that troops be sent to Little Round Top Hill (a key strategic site) to defend that flank, a decision that proved crucial to the outcome of the battle.
