Description
A horse and cart passes through the main street of Niquero in Granma Province in south eastern Cuba. Niquero is near where the Granma (the yacht carrying Fidel Castro, Raúl Castro, Che Guevara and others from Mexico) landed on 2 December 1956, which led to the start of the Cuban Revolution. The Province is named after the yacht. In rural regions in particular fuel shortages often mean animal transport is preferred to motor vehicles.
