Description
A portrait of a Keel-billed toucan (Ramphastos sulfuratus), one of the commonest and best known toucan species, in no small way thanks to its large, colorful beak. It is also known as the sulfur-breasted toucan or rainbow-billed toucan and is found from Mexico southwards throughout Central America (where it is the national bird of Belize) to Colombia and Venezuela in South America. The magnificent multicolored beak is on average around 12-15cm (4.7-6") long, about one-third of the bird's total length.
