Description
Dramatic stormy skies above Laguna Saquewa / Sakewa (also called Laguna Sacabaya) in the barren altiplano regions of Oruro Department in western Bolivia. Much of the region was once a huge prehistoric lake, of which the shallow lakes and salt flats that now dot the landscape are remnants. These lakes are an important habitat for wildlife, especially waterbirds and flamingos (a flock of which can be seen in the foreground). The stormy conditions and lighting looks particularly moody in black and white!

Looks great in black and white. Some days are just made for B & W photography !
James Brunker replied:
Indeed, this was one of them, the flamingos popped nicely against the dark leaden sky reflections.

Such a very beautiful creation of the marvelous capture. I love the importance of colors as they are incomplete without each other, and I love this beautiful scenic beauty! :)
