Description
Llaima volcano ( 3125m / 10,250ft) is one of Chile's most active volcanos and dominates views of the spectacular Conguillio National Park in the country's Lake District. Recent eruptions included 2 in 2008 (one causing large falls of ash in neighbouring Argentina) and the last one in April 2009. The mist in the valleys gave this scene almost the feel of a Chinese painting.
