Description
Capsules and part of the London Eye against a superb pink sunset, with an old fashioned street lamp in the foreground. Officially opened to the public on 9th March 2000, the Eye (also known as the Millennium Wheel) is now the most popular paid tourist attraction in the UK. The building is the Shell Centre on the South Bank, one of 2 central offices of the Shell oil company. Built in 1961, the tower is 107m /351ft tall and was for a short time the tallest building in the United Kingdom.
