Description
A young Quechua girl gets breakfast ready for her pet baby alpaca on the corner of a colonial street in Cusco, Peru. Alpacas (Vicugna pacos) are, along with llamas, one of South America's domestic camelids and closely related to camels. They are common throughout the Andes and bred mainly for their soft, high quality wool. They are also kept as pets and it is common to see women and girls wearing traditional dress posing with them for photos at tourist sites in Peru.
