Description
A long exposure shot of Mt Huayna Potosi (6088m / 19,975ft) shortly before sunrise; the glaciers are starting to glow in the pre dawn twilight. The peak is one of the most popular climbs in Bolivia and by mountaineering standards a relatively non technical 6000m peak. The right hand or north peak is the highest and most often climbed; the so called French Route / Ruta Francesa up the ice face and along the ridge of the left hand / south peak is considerably harder. Towards the bottom left on top of the dark ridge you can just see the lights of the high camp area. The peak is part of the Cordillera Real range.
