Description
Detail of the clock (made in Paris) and facade of the Old Customs House in Arica in the far north of Chile. The building is one of several in northern Chile and southern Peru that were designed in the 19th century by the French architect and engineer Gustave Eiffel (of Eiffel Tower fame). It was completed in 1874 and now houses a cultural centre.
