Description
The Chinchero plateau is an important agricultural area close to Cusco, Peru. It was famed in Inca times for its potatoes, and is a great area for walking with the peaks of the Cordillera Urubamba in the background. The peak is Mt. Veronica (or Wakay Willca, "Sacred Tears" in Quechua), at 5893m / 19,334ft the highest peak in the Cordillera Urubamba range.
