Description
A view looking across the Inner Lake (called Winaymarka, Huinaymarca or Lago Menor locally) towards the Cordillera Real mountain range in Bolivia. The peaks in the image are Chearoco (left, 6217m / 20,100ft) and Chachacomani (right, 6000m / 19,680ft) in the central part of the range. Totora reeds (Schoenoplectus californicus subsp. tatora) grow in huge numbers in the shallower parts of the lake and are a very important habitat and refuge for wildlife.
