Description
A Plumbeous Rail (Pardirallus sanguinolentus) emerges from inside reed beds (where it spends most of its time) to enjoy the morning sun on the shore of Lake Titicaca. It is a relatively common species in swamps and marshes in South America, and the only rail found at high altitudes in the Andean countries.
