A close up view of the Atacama Giant / Gigante de Atacama in the Atacama Desert near the village of Huara in northern Chile. It is 119m / 390ft tall and the largest prehistoric anthropomorphic or human figure in the world. It is though to have been made between 1000 to 1400AD and likely represented a deity for the local inhabitants. It is on the west side of Cerro Unita / Unitas, an isolated hill in the middle of a vast desert plain with views to the peaks of the Andes Mountains in the distance. Some suspect the lines rising above its head have astronomical alignments.
