Description
A Chilean flamingo (Phoenicopterus chilensis) feeds in the shallows of Lake Chungara in Lauca National Park in the far north of Chile. The Chilean flamingo is the most widespread of the 3 South American flamingo species and the only one found at low altitudes, its unusual grey legs with red feet and knees are very distinctive.
