Description
View along a trail next to the Patapsco River South Branch in the Patapsco Valley State Park in Maryland. This section of the Park (the McKeldin Area below the rapids) is noted for its mixed deciduous forest and tulip trees (Liriodendron tulipifera), native to eastern North America and one of the largest native trees in that region. Not far downstream from here the North and South Branches of the Patapsco River merge.
