Description
A view of one of the polished black granite panels of the south inscription wall at the United States Air Force Memorial at Arlington, Virginia, not far from Washington DC. The main quotation relating to "Service" is by John L. Levitow, a United States Air Force (USAF) Loadmaster who received the Medal of Honor for exceptional heroism during the Vietnam War. He became the lowest ranked serviceman in the Air Force to receive the Medal of Honor, which is the United States military's highest honor. There are also other quotes by well known Air Force Generals and Chiefs of Staff. The 3 central panels of the wall refer to the Air Force's three core values: "integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do". I also have images of the other 2 panels available as prints and on products in this gallery if you are interested.
