Baltimore's Seven Foot Knoll Light was built in 1855 and is the oldest screw-pile lighthouse in Maryland. It used to be located on Seven Foot Knoll in the Chesapeake Bay until it was replaced and moved to to its current location on Pier 5 Inner Harbor in 1988. It became part of the Baltimore Maritime Museum (now the Historic Ships in Baltimore museum) in 1997. The brick building in the left background is the sewage pumping station which was built in 1912, and also used to house the Baltimore Public Works Museum (from 1982 until 2010). The modern buildings on the right are the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront hotel, the white roofed structure below the hotel is the MECU Pavilion.

Wonderful image of this historic lighthouse. They must've repainted it since we were there, several years ago. Great colors! L/F

Thank you Francie! It might well have had a recent paint job, this shot is from my last visit to Baltimore in 2017
