Dramatic storm clouds rising above Laguna Santa Rosa, a saline lake at 3760m / 12,335ft in the Nevado de Tres Cruces National Park in the Puna de Atacama in Chile. The lake is a Ramsar Wetland and also part of the Salar de Maricunga, the southernmost salt flat in Chile. Water and wetlands are scarce in the Puna de Atacama, which is a vast volcanic desert plateau in the central Andes shared by Chile and Argentina.
