Description
Dramatic skies above the famous National Aquarium in Baltimore's Inner Harbor after a violent thunderstorm rolled up the nearby Chesapeake Bay. Baltimore's National Aquarium opened in 1981 and is one of the world's largest aquariums with an annual visitor count of around 1.5 million people. In front of the Aquarium is the USS Torsk, a Tench Class submarine built in 1944 that saw action in the Pacific during World War II and now one of several historic ships docked in the Inner Harbour that are part of the Baltimore Maritime Museum. On the right is the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel and other modern buildings in the Harbor East district.
