Description
Tobacco is one of Cuba's most important crops. The best tobacco, much of which is used to make the famous cigars, is said to grow in the Vinales region in the west of the country. The fertile deep red soil is ideal for the plants; which with the striking limestone outcrops known as mogotes that are typical of the region makes for superb scenery and images.
