A view of part of the Nevado de Tres Cruces volcano complex, looking across Laguna Santa Rosa, a saline lake in the Puna de Atacama in Chile. This image shows the South Summit (right), the 6th highest peak in the Andes and the Americas with an altitude of 6,748m / 22,139ft. The Centro summit (left) is the 11th highest peak in the Andes at 6,629m / 21,749ft. The volcano gives its name to the Nevado de Tres Cruces National Park, which includes the lake, most of the Salar de Maricunga salt flat and surrounding area.
