People enjoying the fine summer weather on a nearly deserted beach near the small resort town of Vila Praia de Ancora in Minho Province, northern Portugal. This shot was taken in early July 2020, soon after Portugal and most of Europe began to relax restrictions after a strict lockdown to prevent the spread of the covid-19 coronavirus was enforced from March - June 2020. Normally at this time of year many beaches in Portugal and elsewhere in southern Europe would be packed with tourists and local holidaymakers.
