Description
A bunch of grapes ready for harvesting and the gnarled, old branch of an ancient vine. This image was taken in the Concepcion Valley near Tarija in the south of Bolivia. These are a variety of white muscat grape (moscatel in Spanish) and one of the more popular ones grown in the region, which is Bolivia's largest and best known wine producing region. The grapes are also used to make a spirit called singani, Bolivia's national drink.
