Bolivia's less than stable politics means there's never a shortage marches, protests and political images for news and reportage on the country's streets! This image was shot during celebrations for the inauguration of Evo Morales as the country's first indigenous president in January 2006. The image of Che Guevara on the giant red banner is a version of the famous "El Guerrillero Heroico" / "Heroic Guerrilla Fighter" photograph taken by the great Cuban photographer Alberto Korda in 1960. The photo is the basis for most of the modern images of Che and as a result is thought to be possibly the most reproduced photograph of all time.
