Artist's Description

An evening view of Baltimore's brick Eastern Avenue Sewage Pumping Station and modern buildings in the Harbor East district. The pumping station was built in 1912 as part of what was then the city's brand new sewage system. It's steam-driven pumps with electric turbines in 1960. It also housed the Baltimore Public Works Museum from 1982 until 2010. The white roof bottom right is the MECU Pavilion on Pier V.
