Description
A young girl struggles to ride her bike in a stiff breeze next to a row of colourful beach huts on the sea front at Seaford, East Sussex on a winter's day. Seaford became a popular seaside resort in the 19th century when the building of the railway to Lewes connected it to London. Beach huts trace their history back to Victorian times and are thought to have evolved from bathing machines. They come in a wide variety of designs and colours and it's thought there are around 20,000 in the UK in total.
