Description
A woman wearing traditional dress carries her baby along a street in Lampa, a historic colonial village in the Peruvian altiplano not far from Puno. It is known as La Ciudad Rosada ("The Pink Town") due to the colour of its buildings. Many of the older ones are made in the traditional way from adobe (mud and straw) bricks covered in stucco / plaster painted in red / pink / terracotta colours.
