A black and white shot of an old wooden fishing boat that is now out of service on The Stade (the name for the beach where the fishing fleet is based) at Hastings, East Sussex. Hastings on the south coast of England, is home to one of Britain's oldest fishing fleets and the largest beach (as opposed to harbour) based fishing fleet in Europe. In the background is the East Cliff Lift, opened in 1903 and the steepest funicular railway in the United Kingdom.
