Artist's Description
A rusting steam train in the Uyuni train graveyard during the twilight blue hour. Uyuni in SW Bolivia was founded in 1890 as a railway junction and used to be a major railroad centre in its heyday. Those days have long since passed though trains still pass through. The steam trains started to be replaced by diesels in 1958, just outside the village dozens of steam engines coaches and wagons lie rusting in the old railway yards as a reminder of days gone by. It's a great place to play for photography, the altiplano light and sunsets can be beautiful. The train has been lit by a LED panel in this image.
