Description
The Sparkling violetear hummingbird (Colibri coruscans) is one of the commonest hummingbirds in the Andes, found from Venezuela south to central Argentina and Chile at altitudes of up to 4,500m in a wide range of semi open habitats (including parks and gardens). The yellow colour on its forehead is pollen rather than part of its plumage.
