Description
Early morning cloud and mist rises up around a cable car on the Yellow Line / Linea Amarilla and the distinctive flat-topped peak of Mt Mururata (5868m / 19,250ft). The Yellow Line opened in 2014 and was the second of several cable car lines to be built in the cities of La Paz and El Alto in Bolivia. The network currently consists of 10 lines and is 30.6km / 19 miles long, the largest urban Cable-Propelled Transit (CPT) system in the world. It is also the highest - central La Paz is at an altitude of around 3650m / 11,970ft, El Alto 4,050m / 13,280ft.
