Description
View of the barn of Sherfy Farm, Emmitsburg Road on the Gettysburg battlefield site. Fierce fighting took place around it on July 2nd and 3rd, 1863, when the farm was owned by Reverend Joseph Sherfy. The original barn was used by the Confederates as a field hospital but got burned during the battle; the current barn is more recent.
