Description
These girls and their family lived in a small stone hut at an altitude of approx 15,000ft / 4600m just below a pass over the Andes in Peru. The family made a living keeping sheep and livestock, as well as selling drinks, snacks and candles for offerings at a nearby shrine (a common practice in the Andes) to passing drivers. After buying some supplies from them and chatting they were quite happy to do some modelling as a change from their routine. At one point the older girl stopped playing with the puppy and giggling and gazed across the peaks, as if trying to imagine what life was like where the passing drivers and occasional foreigners came from.
