Description
A detail in black and white of the top of the art deco style Bank of America Building at 10 Light Street in Baltimore. At 155m (509ft) high and 37 stories, it was the tallest building south of New York in the United States when it was built in 1924 and is still the 2nd tallest building in Baltimore. It was designed by the firm of Taylor and Fisher, and completed in eighteen months at a cost of then US$3 million. Construction was done using Indiana sandstone and local brick over a steel frame.
