Description
The Cristo de la Concordia monument is situated on a hilltop overlooking Cochabamba in central Bolivia. It is a copy of the famous Christ the Redeemer / Cristo Redentor statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At 40.4m high and weighing 2,200 tonnes it is slightly larger than the Brazilian statue; it is the largest statue of Jesus in the world and the largest statue in the southern hemisphere. The Christ the King statue at Świebodzin, Poland is slightly taller though without its 3m crown the actual figure of Christ is smaller.
