Description
A black and white detail of part of the Guggenheim Museum building in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. Arguably one of the most famous examples of modern architecture, it was designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry and inaugurated on 18 October 1997. The museum was built as part of a Bilbao city regeneration project and very quickly became a major tourist attraction. It's a fascinating building, its curves, lines and reflective titanium plate cladding produce a continuously changing kaleidascope of light, shadows and reflections.
