Description
The sun sinks into the Pacific Ocean, seen from the port of Antofagasta on Chile's Atacama Desert coast. A large flock of pelicans are settling down for the night next to the Molo de Abrigo lighthouse on the end of the harbor wall. Antofagasta is one Chile's biggest ports and copper is a major export, Chile is the world's biggest copper producer (around a third of the world total) and some of the world's largest mines (including the Escondida Mine, the largest by reserves) are in the Antofagasta region.
