Description
The flag of Panama flying above the forested Cerro Ancon close to Panama City. The original Panamanian flag was made on November 1, 1903 (a few days before Panama became independent from Colombia) by the First Lady of Panama, Maria de la Ossa de Amador, based on a design by her son. The original design was inverted vertically with the blue quadrant top left. The current version was officially adopted as the national flag in 1925.
