Description
Uyuni in southwest Bolivia used to be a major railroad centre and junction where lines from Bolivia into neighbouring Chile and Argentina crossed. Those days have long since passed, just outside the village in its famous train cemetery dozens of steam engines and coaches lie rusting in the old railway yards as a reminder of days gone by. The site is a popular tourist attraction and has featured in various films / movies.
